Alcohol Limits

The blood alcohol limit in Montenegro is 0.3 per mille (0.03%). For new drivers (less than 3 years of experience) and professional drivers, a strict zero tolerance (0.0) policy applies.

Warning

Seat Belts and Child Seats

Seat belts are mandatory for all passengers on all seats. Children under 5 must be in an appropriate child seat. Children under 12 may not sit in the front seat.

Mobile Phone Use

Only hands-free devices are permitted while driving. Using a handheld phone carries a minimum fine of 70 EUR.
